In its initial ‘soft’ opening phase, the new 109-room Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna is offering
guests a special room rate as well as value-added bonuses as an incentive
to visit the west coast of Abu Dhabi emirate.
The only deluxe resort in the region, the hotel is promoting exclusivity and a relaxing environment as key selling points, a strategy that management says is already
beginning to pay off.
Room rates in the opening period are Dhs350, single or double, plus 16 per cent service charge, while those staying for two days or more also benefit from
complimentary buffet breakfast in Tides, the resort's all-day dining restaurant.
According to general manager Manoj Kanwal, both overseas tourists and local residents looking for a short break alternative are being
targeted, “With a highly competitive room rate, compared to many other beachfront hotels in the UAE, we offer a real alternative for those people who are seeking quality accommodation.”
Guests also have use of a range of leisure facilities including an 800-metre private beach, Body and Soul spa, five restaurants and bars, two floodlit tennis courts, two
squash courts and a nine-hole, par-36 sand golf course and driving range, plus opportunities for surfing, sailing, fishing, dive and drive safaris, and exclusive tours of
the Sir Bani Yas Island wildlife reserve, located just 9km off the coast.
