Abacus
has launched its latest distribution office in Kazakhstan, with activation of the Abacus system in 12 cities throughout the country.
Distributing to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, the local national marketing company, Reservations Systems Central Asia Ltd
(RSCA), has already assisted travel agents to transit onto the Abacus system in Astana, Almaty, Aqtobe, Shimkent , Atyrau, Karaganda, Aqtau, Petropavlovsk, Taraz, Semipalatinsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk
and Uralsk (Aksai) in Kazakhstan as well as in Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan and Dushanbe in Tajikistan.
Abacus International representative Mr. Albert Hong, Regional Director for Indochina
and Central Asia, welcomed the three new markets into the Abacus family. “Abacus International has been working to provide our systems and technologies to the
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan travel agents. This entire region is an exciting growth market for travel, and we’re looking forward to helping the Kazakhstan
travel industry make the most of the opportunities ahead,” he said.
Mr Pavel Spitsyn, General Director for RSCA, will oversee the operations of the three markets, reporting directly to Mr Hong.
Mr Spitsyn said, “Our approach is to work closely with local partners and suppliers, combining our local knowledge with Abacus’ technology and established regional
network to give travel suppliers and travel agents dedicated access to the most extensive reservation and distribution system in
Asia Pacific.”
Abacus will deploy its latest version of Abacus Whiz, available in Russian language throughout Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. To assist travel agents, RSCA
has established an experienced Training and Technical support team to provide the necessary instruction and guidance to agents on the Abacus host
functionalities.
