Mr Timothy Ross is to be affiliated with
the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation's expanding Consulting and Information Services team, further
enhancing the Centre’s position as one of Asia’s premier specialist aviation consultancy and industry intelligence
sources.
Mr Ross was formerly global coordinator of airline research at investment bank UBS and head of its Asian regional transport research effort and has been among the
region's pre-eminent airline analysts, topping Institutional Investors poll for the last four years.
Peter
Harbison, the Managing Director of the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation,
said Timothy will provide highly valuable airline finance experience to the Centre, building
further on its Strategy and Restructuring specialty capability led by former Air New Zealand Chief Operating Officer, now CEO CAPA Consulting, Andrew Miller. The
Centre also works in alliance with Ferrier Hodgson in the restructuring activity.
“Timothy Ross adds a new dimension to the Centre, positioning us for future airline restructuring exercises, the steady flow of airline start-up analyses and an expected
wave of airline and airport privatisations in this region in coming years”, said Mr
Harbison.
“We are also adding a new title to our ever-increasing range of leading industry publications. The new “Airline Investor Monthly”, to be led by Mr Ross, will complement
our Airport Investor Monthly report, which has now become a must-have airport publication”,
added Mr Harbison.
Airline Investor Monthly will be available separately, or as part of the CAPA Platinum Membership service, now subscribed to by a range of leading aviation and related
companies.
The Centre’s conferences and events unit is also preparing for the inaugural “Indian Subcontinent and Middle East Aviation & Tourism Investor Summit” on 19/20 June,
2005, which will bring together investors, airlines, hotels, airports and government officials in a unique format aimed at encouraging the cross-flow of information and
opportunities in the high-potential India and Middle East markets.
