The Singapore Marriott Hotel is preparing to launch an exclusive collection of guestrooms by their brand new pool terrace from January 2006.
Boasting 10 new rooms, including the elegant Tang Sok Kiar suite, guests can look forward to an enhanced experience during their stay with special
attention to details such as individually escorted check-in, dedicated sunbathing beds in the modern pool, in-room massage therapy options, to name a few. Each room
will feature the comforts brought about by technology in the form of a 32-inch flat panel LCD televisions, DVD player, in-room safe and high speed wireless broadband
internet connectivity. Moving to the bathroom, guests can luxuriate under a divine rain shower or indulge in a pampering soak in the bath – a distinctive feature in this
part of the room is the clever use of daylight to allude to the naturalness of the environment.
Three of the 10 rooms are each built with a pool-facing private verandah featuring a day bed, whilst the suite boasts a private dip pool within its 200m2 compound. There
is even a 20-inch LCD television in the bathroom, in addition to the 42-inch flat panel in the main living
room. The extravagance of space within this lavish suite is
designed with the purposeful intention to spoil, pamper and indulge, evident in the furnishings and fittings which were either customized or handpicked by the hotel
owner, Mr Tang Wee Kit.
The newly-renovated hotel pool, now open for guests’ use, boasts a mosaic finish with calming marine colors indicative of the mood and ambience of the pool deck area
when renovation works are completed in January 2006. There is a specially-designed submerged seating area at the end of the pool just next to the baby pool – a
perfect indent where guests can indulge in the rejuvenating sprays from the Jacuzzi at the end of the day. There is also the addition of a stunning feature wall and a
shallow water deck where guests may sunbathe amidst the resort-like setting. Personalized poolside service
is also being upgraded to include complimentary cold towels and
a choice of reading materials.
The hotel’s new chic alfresco restaurant, the Pool Grill,
has a seating capacity of 40 including a 10-seater bar.
