Singapore Airlines customers can
now keep abreast of the latest news, when the airline launches Live Text News
this month.
Available to Singapore Airlines customers in all classes, this latest product can be accessed free on KrisWorld, the
airline’s inflight entertainment system. The content provided covers several categories including world news, business, technology, sports, entertainment and weather; and is obtained from an
extensive list of news sources, including Associated Press, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones.
Also from December, Singapore Airlines customers can look forward to an even wider selection of games on KrisWorld. Already
one of the most extensive menu of games to be offered by a commercial airline, this expansion will bring the number of games available to 91.
New games introduced include Super Breakout, Super Pinball Arcade, Robot Factory and Solitrio, ensuring that all customers will have a variety of arcade, board,
puzzle, leisure and sports games to keep themselves entertained while flying with Singapore Airlines.
“This latest offering of Live Text News onboard Singapore Airlines further adds to the variety of inflight entertainment options offered by Krisworld. With news and
information at the fingertips, our customers can now stay in touch with events on the ground, even while travelling at 35,000 feet. Furthermore, the expansion of the
video games selection will make the flying experience a fun one too,” said Mr Eric Tong, Singapore Airlines Manager, Inflight Entertainment.
In addition to Live Text News and 91 of the latest video games, Singapore Airlines’ customers can also select from over 500 entertainment and information options
available on KrisWorld. These include 60 movies, up to 100 TV programmes, and 220 music CD albums and audio
books. On selected flights, customers can also choose to access wireless inflight broadband internet.
