KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has appointed Ben J. Swagerman (46) Deputy Chief of KLM Security Services. He will take his position officially on February 1, 2006.
In the autumn of 2006, current Chief of KLM Security Services, Teun J. Platenkamp, will lay down his function to go into retirement. Mr. Swagerman will succeed him.
Following
his law studies Ben Swagerman worked for a number of years as an attorney and, since October 1988, has served in the Dutch judiciary. He worked as Public
Prosecutor of The Hague and, thereafter, of Curaçao. Following that, he worked as Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Amsterdam and as Attorney General of the Dutch
Antilles. Since January of 2003 he has been the Chief Public Prosecutor of
Roermond.
