LAN Airlines, the national carrier of Chile,
is launching a range of bargain air fares from throughout Australia to 12 destinations in the increasingly-popular market of
South America, for travel between 1 February and 30 September.
The airline, which is expanding its presence in Australia, is offering roundtrip fares from a low
A$2199 per person, plus taxes, from Sydney to Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Rosario, Barilochi, Ushuaia and Cordoba, in Argentina; Mendoza and Montevideo in Uruguay; Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador in Brazil; and Lima, Peru.
For passengers from Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the fare to each of these 12 South American destinations is
A$2,299 per passenger, plus taxes.
From Adelaide, Launceston and Hobart, the roundtrip fare to any of these destinations is
A$2,529 per person, plus taxes.
Passengers from Perth and Darwin can also book LAN Airlines deals to any of these South American destinations for
A$3,069 per person, plus taxes.
The special deals from LAN Airlines must be booked and paid for by 30 April, 2005, and seats are limited at these prices.
LAN Airlines currently operates four weekly flights from Sydney to Santiago, via Auckland, and will add a fifth weekly service from July to help meet
demand for visits to South America, one of the world’s fastest growing regions for both tourism and business.
All LAN Airlines flights from Australia are operated with 259-seat Airbus A340-300 aircraft, with personal video screens in every seat in each of the three classes.
Domestic flight connections within Australia, or between Australia and Auckland, are with LAN’s oneworld alliance partner, Qantas.
