British Airways’
Club World flat bed is to be improved next month, in an aim to provide customers
with an even more relaxing and comfortable flight.
The airline will enhance the flat bed with the latest cushioning technology, similar to that used in the latest premium household mattresses, to provide customers with
more comfort and further ergonomic support.
The enhanced seat is part of a series of improvements to the airline’s Club World product designed to make the travel experience even better.
Customers can also take advantage of larger pillows and higher quality thicker blankets to help them sleep
better.
Passenger cabins will be refreshed with dark blue seat covers and complimented by photographs showing scenes of “Beautiful Britain” in tones of blue to create a
restful and private cabin ambience.
As well as new improved menus created by the airline’s ‘culinary council’ of celebrity chefs, customers will also notice a change of presentation with crisp linen
tablecloths and meals served on the finest quality Royal Doulton china.
The new improved Club World will be rolled out across the airline’s longhaul fleet of aircraft during the next six months.
Martin George, the airline’s commercial director,
said, “Our multi-award winning Club World product has led the way in business class travel for several years but we
look constantly at ways to make it even better.
“Last year we launched the Club World Sleeper Service on shorter longhaul flights to maximise sleep on board and this has proved extremely popular with our
customers.
“We believe these improvements to our award winning Club World flat bed will give our customers an even more comfortable journey.”
