Qantas
is to operate a series of seasonal services between Australia and Korea from 28 December 2005 to 5 February 2006.
Qantas Executive General Manager John Borghetti said the services were being introduced to meet demand during the traditional New Year peak period from Korea.
"The market between Korea and Australia is growing. The number of Korean visitors travelling to Australia has increased by 10% in the last 12 months and by 24% over the past five months," Mr Borghetti
said, "These services will assist in further stimulating traffic between the two
countries."
The 18 return services between Brisbane and Seoul will operate on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using two-class Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
Qantas last operated services to Seoul in 1998.
