Mr.
Clive Smith has been appointed as General Manager of the InterContinental
Lusaka in Zambia.
Described by colleagues as an excellent leader, motivator and communicator with high skills in standards, finance and a track record of achieving results, Smith moves
to the position from his previous role as Resident Manager of the InterContinental Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Smith originally joined the InterContinental Hotels Group fold
in 2000, when he was the Resident Manager of the Holiday Inn Mayfair in London, UK.
Enjoying playing squash, golf and Tae Kwon Do, Smith is also passionate about snow-boarding and chess. With the move from Saudi Arabia to Zambia, he will also be
able to maintain his monthly desert trips.
With most visitors flocking to Zambia to visit one of the world’s seven wonders – the Victoria Falls – the staff at the hotel are always prepared to help guests with
arranging visits to some of the most un-spoilt game reserves in Africa. The hotel provides information on how to book excursions out of Lusaka, as well as advice on
