Pictures of Mekong Tourism Forum 2018 in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand

In 2018, the annual Mekong Tourism Forum took place in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand from 25-29 June.

The event, which attracted travel trade delegates from around the world, is used to promote and encourage discourse on how best to grow tourism within the Mekong region in a sustainable way.

Below you will find pictures from one of the workshops which, unlike so many similar events, did not take place in an uninspiring conference room, but in a real village where organic farming and sustanaible tourism are not just trendy words on a whiteboard, but everyday reality.

With a wide choice of workshops to choose from Mekong Tourism Forum delegates could select the topic which interested them and their business most - whether it be religious tourism, food tourism, adventure tourism, wellness tourism, heritage tourism, festival tourism or eco tourism.

 The pictures below are from the Mekong Tourism Forum's organic tourism workshop which was held in Tai Ga Lerng village in the Nong Sang subdistrict of Na Khae in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand.
