Pictures of Laguna Phuket Triathlon 2013 - Page 1 of 18

Page 1 of 18. The 20th Laguna Phuket Triathlon took place on Sunday, 24 November 2013, and featured a 1.8-km swim, 55-km bike and 12-km run.

The swim course was the same as in previous years and comprised two bodies of water. Starting on the beach between the Dusit Thani Phuket and Outrigger Laguna Beach Resort, athletes swam 1,180 metres in the sea before sprinting 100 meters across the beach to swim the last 620 metres in a lagoon finishing at the Laguna Grove.

The bike course took athletes out of Laguna Phuket onto a tour of the northern part of Phuket, and featured the signature Naithon Hills with their steep, challenging sections.

Compared to the previous years, the run course changed slightly. It was flat and leads runners north through the Laguna Phuket resort complex before looping back past the Wedding Chapel through Canal Shopping Village and finishing at the Laguna Grove.

This year, Ruedi Wild and Melissa Hauschildt won the Laguna Phuket Triathlon 2013.
