The 2012 King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament will take place in Hua Hin Thailand between 12 and 16 September 2012.

The event, organised by Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, has attracted 12 international teams with players from 20 different countries.

An opening parade which will see the elephants walk through the main street of Hua Hin will take place at 16:00 on Wednesday afternoon, and then the action itself gets underway on Thursday.

The Elephant Polo games, which consist of two teams of three elephants, three players and three mahouts to help guide the elephants, last for 15 minutes before the elephants are changed for the second half.
