Page 1 of 2. The annual Bangkok Motor Show is one of the largest such events in Asia Pacific, and has grown substantially over the years.

 Established in 1979, the first event which took place 2-6 April 1979 attracted around 380,000 visitors, ten years later and the show was attracting over 790,000 visitors, and by 1999 that number had increased to over 1,769,000. This year, the show, which will take place at Impact on the outskirts of Bangkok, is expected to attract well over 1,900,000 and organisers will be hoping to break the 2 million barrier.

At the show you can see most major car manufacturers including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Land Rover, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, BMW, Toyota, Nissan etc. There are also a lot of bikes, including some amazing Ducatis, as well as Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki etc., and of course a lot of pretty ladies, and some rather imaginative costumes, to help attract you to the individual stands.

Of course, with over 1.9 million expected to visit the Motor Show, traffic is going to be an issue, and organisers have - somewhat ironically it must be said, considering this is a motor show designed at selling vehicles - set up special bus transfers to help people get to the venue with ease.
