NEW SALES TEAM FOR EIBTM 2002

EIBTM 2002 has a new, highly experienced and well-known industry sales team to underline the exceptional commitment to customer care of the world's leading event for the incentive, business travel and meetings industry.

Fiona Chappell has seven years of travel industry experience. For three years, she was Regional Sales Manager in France, Spain, Portugal, UK and Africa for Travel Weekly US. In 2,000 she took up an appointment as Senior Sales Executive for The West Australian in Perth, Western Australia, where she was responsible for all tourism, meetings and business travel advertising.

Her particular focus at EIBTM will be Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, technology, cruise lines and airlines.

Prior to her latest role, she had worked for North Star Travel Media (formerly Cahners Travel Group) on Meetings & Conventions Magazine, the leading meeting planners publication in the US and the US Tour Operators Association Desk Planner 2002.

Ayshe Salih has worked with Reed Exhibitions for eight years of which six years  have been at Reed Travel Exhibitions, where she was responsible for sales for World Travel Market, Arabian Travel Market, Mediterranean Travel Market, CIS Travel Market, Russia and BTTF in Birmingham, UK.

She previously worked on leading events for the hotel and catering industry, including Hotelympia. She is now responsible at EIBTM for hotel groups, Middle East and Western Europe.

James Air, who has 12 years sales experience, is responsible at EIBTM for the United States, Canada, Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Pacific.

Formerly he was Sales Manager in London on Africa, Asia and Pacific for World Travel Market, Arabian Travel Market, CIS in Russia and Mediterranean Travel Fair in Egypt. Previously, James had been selling advertising for all 13 Travel Trade Gazette titles worldwide, particularly TTG UK, TTG Asia and several European titles.

Completing the team is Sales Co-ordinator, Karen Hiscoe, who has worked at Reed Travel Exhibitions for a year. Formerly, she was responsible for sales administration at tour operator Tapestry Holidays.

Announcement of the new sales team coincides with publication of the EIBTM 2002 sales brochure setting out the benefits and key highlights for the event, taking place at Palexpo, Geneva between 21-23 May.

"The new sales team is experienced and focused but above all, able to provide the kind of customer service that is second to none", said EIBTM's Director Debbie Jackson. " We are talking to all our customers and potential clients offering assistance, support and guidance in this crucial build up period.
