After the joyous conclusion of the world's longest festival celebration, the Dubai Shopping Festival season in March, the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai achieved an overall 93% occupancy rating during the month-long festival.
"This is our first outing in the Dubai Shopping Festival period and we are very delighted to have achieved such a great feat in our occupancy, we hope this will continue even after the shopping season," commented Yannick Poupon, general manager of Taj Palace Hotel Dubai.
An active participant in all DTCM exhibitions, the Taj Palace Hotel is hoping that regional and international business will continue pouring in after it has achieved success at the recently concluded travel and trade exhibitions in ITB Berlin, Germany and MITT in Moscow, Russia.
"After the devastating September 2001 event where resort hotels occupancy dropped to 30-50 percent, city hotels like the Taj Palace Hotel fared relatively better. With GCC as our main market, we have continuously promoted our property by offering the best accommodation packages for locals and travelers to Dubai. And banking on the popularity of the DSF brand, we gained weight than our competition due to our unique product and importantly our location, where we are strategically located in the center of the DSF festivities," said French hotelier Yannick
Poupon.
Located in the Deira district, a ten minute drive from the Dubai International Airport, the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai offers 147 executive rooms (the largest in the city),12 suites, a Taj Club Dubai executive floor and 90 serviced apartments. The first and only five star hotel in Dubai with no-alcohol policy, the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai in February this year received nomination in DEPA Middle East Hotel Awards as Best New Hotel of the Year. |
