Singapore airlines makes the
following senior executive changes.
With effect from 1 April 2002, Executive Vice President (Technical) LG (NS) Bey Soo Khiang will be promoted to Senior Executive Vice President and will take over the Human Resources portfolio, which is currently under Senior Executive Vice President (Administration). His job title will be Senior Executive Vice President (Technical and Human Resources).
Mr Chew Choon Seng, Senior Executive Vice President (Administration) has taken over the administration of Internal Audit which had been under the Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Cedric Foo, Senior Vice President West Asia & Africa, has been appointed by the Singapore Government as Minister of State for Defence with effect from 1 April 2002. We congratulate him on his new appointment.
Mr Paul Tan, Divisional Vice President Customer Services, has assumed Mr Foo's responsibilities as Acting Senior Vice President West Asia & Africa, from 18 March 2002.
From 1 April 2002, Partnerships Division, headed by Mr Syn Chung Wah, will be responsible for Airline Partnerships, including Associate Airlines; STAR Alliance and Interline cooperation; General Sales Agencies (Passenger); and International Relations. Mr Syn will be redesignated as Senior Vice President, Partnerships & International Relations.
These and other moves made last year and in the near future are part of an on-going programme to develop senior management members.
