The Taj Palace Hotel Dubai looks optimistic after the success achieved at the recently concluded ITB Berlin Fair in Germany.
Joining the DTCM bandwagon in this annual exhibition, Taj Palace Hotel Dubai received enormous response from Travel and Trade Groups from Europe built up by their curiosity on the early success of the hotel after its opening last year in June 2001. Tour Operators and Corporate Groups expressed their desire to forge possible tie-ups of groups bound to visit Dubai in the remaining months of this year and in future.
The team of Yannick Poupon, hotel general manager and Sanjeet Joher, business relation manager joined the other executives of the Taj Group of Hotels in promoting the Taj Hotels across the European Travel and Trade community. In the last quarter of 2001, the Taj Group of Hotels announced a major Middle East expansion strategy, which includes the setting up of a regional office in Dubai. The group, which currently operates properties in Dubai, Yemen and Oman, says it is looking to position itself throughout the Middle East as a brand offering superior luxury and elegant sophistication.
"We were delighted with the response generated during the ITB Fair and has received queries from operators wanting to forge contract agreements with us. Our dry concept has clearly created us a niche in the market and we will use that to our advantage," said Yannick Poupon, General Manager, Taj Palace Hotel Dubai.
He adds that, "The Department of Tourism Commerce and Marketing's efforts to aggressively sell Dubai across the globe has created significant interest amongst leisure and business travelers and has opened various opportunities for people to do business in Dubai, and the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai including other hotels and in the hospitality industry has benefited greatly from that campaign". |
