Dragonair has announced its most extensive summer schedule ever, with frequencies to 14 mainland China cities being boosted over the period. The increases are made possible by the addition to its fleet of two new aircraft this month and the delivery of another in June.
Shanghai and Beijing see the biggest rise in frequencies, with services increased from 48 to 56 times a week and 37 to 42 times a week respectively.
"We're giving our passengers more choice than ever," said Andy Tung, Dragonair's General Manager, Marketing & Sales. "It's part of our commitment to being the airline of choice to the mainland."
He added: "With China now a member of the World Trade Organisation the interest in the country from around the world is huge, and that should translate into more business trips."
This month saw Dragonair, which has just been voted "Best Airline China 2002" in the respected Skytrax poll, add two new Airbus Industrie aircraft to its fleet - an A320 and an A321. A new A330 is due to enter service in June.
The 14 destinations seeing increased flights are:
Shanghai 56 a week (up from 48)
Beijing 42 a week (up from 37)
Hangzhou 10 a week (up from 7)
Xiamen 11 a week (up from 7)
