China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), the largest airline in The People's Republic of China for the past 23 years, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its non-stop service between Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to a daily operation.
China Southern Airlines, which had operated this service every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday on a codeshare basis with Vietnam Airlines,
will continue to partner with the national flag carrier of Vietnam on this route on these same days as it expands to daily service.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh, Vice President, Vietnam Airlines and Mr. Li Kun, Vice President, China Southern Airlines inked the official agreement here in Guangzhou.
"Vietnam has been - and clearly with our expanded daily service will continue to be - an important business and leisure route for China's largest airline," said Mr. Li Kun, Vice President, China Southern Airlines.
The expansion of daily service between China and Vietnam comes in advance of all-new daily Boeing 777 service between Guangzhou and Tokyo - slated to begin April 19.
China Southern Airlines plans to dedicate one of its 20, Airbus A320 aircraft on this Guangzhou - Ho Chi Minh City route.

As part of its code share pact, China Southern Airlines has agreed to allocate to
Vietnam Airlines 130 seats Y class per week - in each direction - on China Southern's CAN-SGN services. Likewise, Vietnam Airlines has agreed to allocate to China Southern Airlines 130 seats Y class per week in each direction on Vietnam Airlines'
SGN-CAN services.
