KLM to fly to Casablanca from summer 2003

Travel News Asia 29 November 2002

Starting March 30, 2003 KLM will start flying to Casablanca, Morocco. From next year's summer schedule, this daily round-trip service will be operated with a Boeing 737-400 aircraft in a code sharing agreement with Northwest Airlines.

KLM is initiating the service now that Transavia plans to focus on point-to-point service for the leisure market. Casablanca is a popular transfer point for a wide variety of destinations worldwide on the KLM route network.

Starting March 30, 2003 flight KL 557 will depart daily at 21:30 from Amsterdam, arriving in Casablanca at 23:15. The return service, KL 558, will depart at 01:50, flying into Schiphol at 07:20.

This departing evening flight will connect well with a great number of KLM and KLM partner flights coming into the Moroccan harbor city. The early arrival at Schiphol will offer transfer passengers access to a large number of connections as well.
