United Makes Changes to United Kingdom and Ireland Base Commission

United Airlines (NYSE: UAL) yesterday announced effective January 1, 2003, the company will change the travel agent base commission for ticket sales originating in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland to four percent.

This policy applies to all tickets, Miscellaneous Charge Orders (MCO's), Prepaid Ticket Advices (PTA's) and internet bookings.

United Airlines has said it will not be adding any further comment beyond this statement.
