Hertz has been appointed as the official global supplier of rental cars to the
Australian Department of Defence, one of the country’s largest single car rental
accounts.
The contract, which takes full effect from 10 March, makes Hertz Australia the
primary supplier of rental vehicles to the Department of Defence for a period of
three years.
The contract requires Hertz to provide car rental services throughout Australia
and overseas through the Hertz global network.
“We are delighted to have been chosen as the official car rental supplier to the
Australian Department of Defence after a very rigorous tender process,” said Mr
James Bowyer, Hertz Australia Region Vice President and Managing Director.
“Hertz currently has 222 locations in Australia, and is well positioned to manage
this important contract,” said Mr Bowyer.
“We will open a new rental outlet at Nowra, in southern NSW – a location for the
Royal Australian Navy – which represents just a small part of our commitment to
ensure that the Department of Defence receives the highest level of customer
support at regional, state and national levels throughout Australia, and overseas
as required – consistent with our commitment to all Hertz customers.” |
