The Great Eagle Hotel’s sumptuous “Langham Suites” have been ranked
among the world’s ‘Top 10 High-tech Hotel Rooms’ by the influential British
newspaper, The Sunday Times.
The Great Eagle, together with the spectacular Burj al Arab in Dubai, are the
only hotels in the Middle East/Asia to be ranked in the exclusive survey.
The six stylish suites, a new highlight at the Great Eagle in Tsim Sha
Tsui, Hong Kong have just been acclaimed by The Sunday Times for being “one of
the few with en-suite, broadband internet access, 37” plasma TV and DVD
surround-sound home theatre”.
The “Langham Suites” are named after London’s legendary Langham Hotel
(now The Langham Hilton) and part of a substantial upgrade and refurbishment of the Great Eagle’s Club Floor.
They are designed as a contemporary reflection of the ‘golden years’ of grand
British hospitality typified by the Langham Hotel, which dates back to 1865
and has the same owners as the Great Eagle Hotel, Langham Hotels
International Ltd.
Like the Langham Hotel, the Great Eagle’s “Langham Suites” are designed to
capture the grace and elegance of two great Victorian institutions: the country
house and the private club. The two also share a reputation for cutting-edge
technology: the Langham Hotel was the first hotel in the world to feature
elevators.
The Great Eagle’s “Langham Suites” combine this classical, private club
atmosphere on the new-look Club Floor with cutting-edge technological innovation to create a “dream home away from home”.
The suites also feature The Great Eagle’s new signature “yume” beds, the
most comfortable king-sized beds in Hong Kong. The name “yume’ is Japanese for dream.
Centrally located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, the independently managed
Great Eagle offers an elegant European-style opulence with a contemporary
twist and is rapidly becoming the preferred choice for discerning travellers
from the fashion and entertainment industries.
Langham Hotels International Ltd. owns a number of prestigious international
hotels including The Langham Hilton in London, Sheraton Towers Southgate
in Melbourne, Le Meridien Boston, Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto and the
Sheraton Auckland Hotel and Towers.
In Hong Kong, the company also owns The Eaton Hotel, Eaton House
Furnished Apartments and Yat Tung Heen Chinese Restaurants. |
