Huayi - Chinese Festival of Arts - The Last Emperor, by Hong Kong Ballet (Hong Kong)

Choreographed by Canadian dancer/choreographer Wayne Eagling and set to an original score by Oscar-winning composer Su Chong, this full-length ballet tells the turbulent life of Pu Yi, the last Manchu emperor of China. The Last Emperor is a rich feast for the senses.

Ballet National de Espana (Spain)

The premier dance company of Spain arrives to ignite the stage with their fiery blend of dance which fuses flamenco with ballet. With their impassioned performances, colourful costumes and highly talented dancers performing the most exciting of recent choreography by Spain's top artists, this multi-award winning dance company will thrill audiences.

London Symphony Orchestra (UK)

Celebrate 100 years of music making when one of the world's leading orchestras, and the resident orchestra of London's Barbican centre, makes its much awaited debut in Singapore. They will perform Britten's Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes, Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, and Shostakovitch's Symphony No 5 under the baton of Conductor Gennadi Rozhdestvensky.

Carmen Linares (Spain)

Described as a vocalist with an "extraordinary and expressive power" by The New York Times and unanimously revered by critics, Carmen Linares has dazzled audiences with performances of searing passion. She will perform with a six-piece band, songs from the same Un ramito de locura album that drove her Spanish audiences to heights of ecstasy.

La Galigo by Bali Purnati Center for the Arts (Indonesia, USA)

Theatre, dance, music and poetry unite when La Galigo unfolds on stage for its World Premiere. Directed by Robert Wilson, created by an international team and starring Indonesia's leading artists, this magnificent production depicts the creation of the world and the battles, loves and adventures of the first six generations of the Bugis people.
