If
you have not already heard of the Amanjaya Pancam Hotel then you can be
forgiven as this small property in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has been
keeping itself very quiet since it first opened in November 2002.

Such
an exciting addition to the hotel industry however cannot keep itself a
secret for long. Owned by two ambitious French entrepreneurs, the
Amanjaya Pancam is without a doubt the most luxurious boutique hotel in
Pnomh Penh. With
only 21 rooms, this small property located on vibrant Sisowath Quay,
along Tonle Sap and Mekong River is one of the finest examples of a
boutique hotel in
Asia. Rooms
are beautifully designed with materials and handicrafts all hand made in
Cambodia. Each room offers tea and coffee making facilities, colour
television with all the major international TV channels, a large living
area with sofas and arm chairs, large king size bed with duvet, working
desk, in room electronic safe, and to better enjoy the views, each room
has a balcony with table and chairs. The bathrooms offer a separate
shower, separate toilet and a deep granite stone bath. Rooms
range in size from a spacious 57 square metres to 81 square metres, and
the Amanjaya has a large and popular bar / restaurant, K-West where
International food and drinks of all descriptions can be enjoyed. The
hotel not even open for three months is already looking at ways it can
offer better services to its guests, and is now in the process of
installing wireless internet connections in the property,
so travellers can remain connected throughout the hotel. This
new hotel group have ambitious expansion plans for Cambodia and have
already considered regional development. There next project is in Siem Reap,
Cambodia where they plan to break ground to create a 50 room hotel in
June, 2003. |
