Korean Air resumes Christchurch flights

Travel News Asia 1 December 2003

Starting December 3, Korean Air will offer three weekly non-stop, Boeing 777 flights to Christchurch, New Zealand from its Incheon hub.

Flights will depart Incheon on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 9:30 p.m. and arrive in Christchurch at 1:10 p.m. the following day due to time changes. The actual flying time is approximately 11 and half hours.

Return flights leave Christchurch on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing at 8:05 p.m. and arriving at Incheon at 4:30 a.m. the next day.

Christchurch is the third largest city in New Zealand and the second New Zealand city served by Korean Air. The airline has provided daily service between Incheon and Auckland, the countrys capital, since 1993.

Korean Air previously flew into Christchurch, but service was suspended in March 2001. Service has been reinstated because demand for travel has increased between the two countries.
