Following on from the launch of Air New Zealand's new four-year strategy
for its core airline business, the company has today announced as part of that
strategy, the management team that will be responsible for the day to day
operation of the business and who will report to the senior executive team.
The new strategy and accompanying structure is the next step for Air New
Zealand as it continues to build on the work that has been done to reinvigorate the company over the past two years.
The new appointments
are as follows:
Airlines division (reporting to Group General
Manager Airlines, Rob Fyfe)

Ed Sims - General Manager International Airline. Currently Vice
President of Marketing and Alliances, Ed will lead the Air New Zealand long
haul airline operation.

Andrew David - Previously Vice President of Strategy, Andrew takes
the role of General Manager Pacific Airline with responsibility for the Air
New Zealand domestic, trans-Tasman and Pacific Islands airline operations.

Mike Flanagan - General Manager Business Performance.

Bruce Parton - General Manager Airline Services.
*
Captain David Morgan - General Manager Operations Standards, Safety
and Security. David has acted as head of flight operations in recent months
and has also had responsibility as B767 Fleet Captain since June 2001.
* The role of General Manager Regional Airlines remains unfilled at
this stage. In the meantime, Murray Page will continue to lead the Regional
Airlines team in an acting capacity.
Ventures division (reporting to Group General Manager Ventures, Craig
Sinclair)

Trevor Hughes - General Manager Air New Zealand Engineering Services
(ANZES). Trevor has been operating as the acting head of ANZES and will continue in the permanent position.

Mary Horgan - General Manager Airport Services. A highly experienced
airline manager, Mary will have accountability for all airports and line
maintenance.

Stephen Jones - General Manager Business Performance. Stephen comes
to Ventures from Corporate Finance where he has been responsible for financial planning and investor relations.

Wayne Dodge - General Manager Freedom Air. Wayne continues in this
role supported on a day-to-day basis by Michael Young.
* The role of General Manager Cargo has yet to be filled. In the
interim, Murray Gregg will continue to lead the Cargo team in an acting capacity. |
