Hertz UAE has entered the spirit of giving during Ramadan by pledging to
donate Dhs.10 to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for every car rented from
any of its 13 locations in the Emirates throughout the Holy month.
To help MSF carry out its fund-raising activities in the country, Hertz UAE
has also put a complimentary Honda Accord at the organisation’s disposal
for the next 12 months.
“We had the pleasure in assisting MSF back in January, when they built a
‘model’ refugee camp at the Global Village during the Dubai Shopping
Festival, and I am glad we are again in a position to help what we see as
being one of the charities that is closest to the hearts of people in the
Emirates,” said Bob Farrow, general manager of Hertz UAE, which is part of
the Al-Futtaim Group.
Founded in 1995, under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak
Al Nahayan, MSF provides independent humanitarian aid and medical assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters.
Its branch in the UAE aims to raise funds for MSF’s global missions, and to
increase public awareness of the medical humanitarian crises around the world, including those in Afghanistan, Palestine, Somalia, Angola and
Liberia.
Ensuring that maximum funds are raised throughout this charitable time,
Hertz UAE is sweetening its prices; car-renters can now hire a 2004 model
Chrysler Concorde for as little as Dhs. 185 per day, while a brand-new Toyota Echo comes at Dhs. 45 per day on a monthly basis.
Another attractive offer features a 5.9-litre 2004 model Dodge Durango now
available for Dhs 3,550 per month for a two-year period, which customers will
receive together with a complete camping kit, including a tent, barbeque set,
cooler and even a tow rope.
All cars are fully insured and undergo a 40-point quality check-up by Hertz
mechanics prior to rentals, which come with $1 million third party insurance
coverage. |
