Vietnam Airlines will launch flights to two of
the world's most popular holiday destinations next month.
On 27 October, the airline will launch direct flights
between Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) and Bali, Indonesia, as well as Phuket, Thailand.
The airline will operate the Bali route with
five flights per week up to the end of March 2020, when it hopes
to be able to increase the frequency to daily.
Flights will depart from Saigon
at 11:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The return flight from Bali is
scheduled to leave at 16:50.
Vietnam Airlines has operated daily Saigon – Jakarta
flights since December 2012.
Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines’ third route connecting Vietnam and
Thailand will operate thrice weekly, departing from Saigon at 15:50 every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
The return flight from Phuket is schedule to depart at 18:40.
The airline also hopes to increase this route to
daily flights starting March 2020.
Vietnam Airlines will also
resume its daily Danang – Bangkok flights on 27
October 2019, departing from Danang at 15:20 and from Bangkok at
18:00.
Le Hong Ha, Executive Vice President of Vietnam
Airlines, said, “Apart from offering new, exciting non-stop services, these routes
also facilitate international travelers from Europe, Japan, South
Korea and many other parts of the world to easily access famous
destinations like Bali and Phuket via Vietnam Airlines’ connecting
flights.”
The new routes will be operated with
Airbus A321 aircraft, such as the one pictured above.
