Chef Joseph Spiteri has been appointed as
Executive Chef of the BayWater Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Born
and raised in Malta, Chef Spiteri has more than 10 years of international experience cooking
Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
He joins The BayWater Resort from his most
recent position as Executive Chef of The Steakhouse at Pai
Village, Pai, Mae Hong Son, Thailand.
Prior to moving to Thailand,
Chef Joseph Spiteri worked for several restaurants and hotels in
Malta including Pulitos Restaurant as Chef Patron & Restaurateur;
Patrick’s as Sous Chef/Head chef; Aztec Restaurant as Sous Chef.
Before that he worked at Granby Hotel, Northfleet in Kent, United
Kingdom as Commis Chef.
“I fell in love with Thai people,
Thai food and its culture and that’s the reason I moved to
Thailand. My mission is to creatively deliver the excellent dining
experience to all guests with new culinary ideas by incorporating
traditional Mediterranean influences and best local ingredients on
the island in the restaurant’s concept,” Chef Spiteri said.
