Russian Helicopters (part of State Corporation
Rostec) has launched a 3D modelling app for computers with Windows
or Mac OS.
The app makes it possible for
people to find out more about the range of models
available from
Russian Helicopters, and also to go on virtual tours, including
one of a VIP helicopter.
The configuration app is built like a
3D construction kit and makes it possible to 'assemble' a unique
model meeting each user's individual requirements. Every model can
be enhanced with the specific equipment and functions the user
requires. The system makes it possible to quickly and easily
review the helicopters' parameters and capabilities, and to
explore its systems and components.
"The app is an
excellent tool, which enables potential customers to independently
review the different possible configurations of the various
different models of Russian-made helicopters," said Head of
Russian Helicopters CEO Administration Yury Kaptelkin. "In
addition, it makes it possible to carry out a presentation
efficiently, not only with a view to selling the product, but for
educational purposes, interesting young people in the helicopter
industry."
On Windows, the new app can be downloaded from
Russian Helicopters' official
website. Just click on the model of helicopter that interests
you and then click 'download for Windows'. The app is also available free
of charge at
Google Play. An iPad app will soon be available via App Store.
The Russian Helicopters website also features new Production
Technology content, which offers an overview of the latest
technologies employed in the production of systems and components
for modern helicopters. After selecting the technology that is of
interest, the online platform 'takes' the user to the enterprise
where it is used. The online visual archive (comprising photos and
videos) then offers a detailed insight into how helicopters are
built - from the production of individual components to the final
assembly.
