The Emirates Group has made the following two
appointments to its senior management team.
Saeed Mohammed has been appointed as Chief
Executive Officer, Emirates Flight Catering. He will be succeeded
by Yousuf Mohammad Ali, who has been appointed as Senior Vice
President Procurement & Logistics for Emirates Airline and Group
Services.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum,
Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said, “Saeed and Yousuf both have track records of

inspire Emirati talent. Their experience, knowledge of the
industry, and ability to deliver superior results make them ideal
leaders. I am confident that in their new roles, they will
continue to support the growth of the various Emirates Group
businesses and drive operational excellence.”
Saeed Mohammed, who has been appointed as CEO of
Emirates Flight Catering, joined the company in 2001 as General
Manager of Aircraft Procurement. At the time, he played an active
role in the expansion programme for the procurement of both
aircraft and engines. His potential was quickly recognised and he
was promoted to head the Procurement & Logistics department for
Emirates Airline and Group Services as Senior Vice President. Mr
Mohammed, who is now responsible for all business functions at
Emirates Flight Catering - the world’s largest flight catering
facility, was Divisional Senior Vice President for Procurement &
Logistics where he led a team of over 130 procurement specialists
before his promotion. Saeed Mohammed was the first Arab national
to be awarded a fellowship at the Chartered Institute of
Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and the first Arab on its board.
Yousuf Mohammad Ali, the new Senior Vice
President Procurement & Logistics for Emirates Airline and Group
Services, joined the company in 2011 as Vice President Procurement
& Logistics taking on the responsibility for its non-aircraft
services for the Emirates Group. Yousuf was responsible for
planning and implementing the group wide strategy for best
practices in Procurement and Logistics methods to maintain
Emirates’ leadership in the industry. Mr. Ali has over 16 years of
experience in the field of asset management and previously held
key positions with the Majid Al Futtaim Group as well as Emaar
Properties in Dubai. He was also the first UAE national to hold
international accreditation as a Certified Shopping Centre Manager
(CSCM).
