Thai AirAsia has confirmed that it will open its
fifth flight base in Thailand - after Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang
Mai and Krabi - with flights to commence between U-Tapao (Pattaya) and
Nanning in the southwest of China and Nanchang in the southeast of
the country.
The flights from U-Tapao to Nanning will be
operated 4 times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and
Sundays, while the flights to Nanchang will be operated 3 times
per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia,
said, “We
believe that tourism in the east and Pattaya is growing very
rapidly and that U-Tapao Airport is absolutely ready to
accommodate regular flights. This belief led us to creating our
latest flight base and we chose the two Chinese cities of Nanchang
and Nanning as its first routes. With plans to expand to other
routes both domestic and international we have targeted acquiring
2 Airbus A320s for a fleet at U-Tapao.”
To celebrate the two U-Tapao flights Thai AirAsia has created an all-in promotional
fare starting at 990 THB.
Bookings are available until 6
September 2015 for travel to Nanning from 25 September 2015 to 31
August 2016 and from Nanchang this 26 September 2015 to 31 August
2016.
