Archipelago International has unveiled plans to
open 70 hotels within the coming year and a half.
33 hotel projects with a total of 5,102 guest
rooms are expected to open by the end of this year, and 37 hotels
with a total of 5,700 guest rooms will welcome guests throughout
2015.
In total, Archipelago aims to offer Indonesia’s
vastest and most comprehensive hotel network of 150 properties and
more than 22,000 guest rooms by the end of next year.
Amongst the 70 new hotel projects, there will be
4 new select service Hotel NEOs and 2 more favehotels set to open
in Bali, while 4 large-scale resorts and conference centers under
the Aston, Alana, Quest and Harper labels will open in Bogor.
In
Yogyakarta, Archipelago will open its second Indonesian-based
Alana Hotel which will also feature Central Java’s largest
conference center.
A new designer boutique Hotel NEO will hit
Penang in Malaysia, while 6 new hotels in Lombok will mark the
advent of larger scale international tourism for Lombok,
encouraging its transition into a more popular and sought after
tourist destination.
Lombok will also see the opening of
Archipelago’s most luxurious offering to date, Royal Kamuela Senggigi Resort. With 50 private beachfront pool villas, the
five-star resort is already receiving accolades for its
outstanding design and landscaping. It is set to open by December
this year.
