Bangkok Airways has cancelled some flights and
adjusted the timings of others in order to avoid any possible
danger from floating lanterns during the Loy Krathong Festival
which takes place in Thailand from 5 to 7 November 2014.

Krathong is celebrated all over Thailand. In 2014 Loy Krathong will take place on 6 November.

Cancelled
flights on 5 November 2014 will be PG235/PG236 operating between
Bangkok and Chiang Rai, PG227/228 between Bangkok and
Chiang Mai, and flights PG724/PGPG723 between Yangon (Myanmar) and Chiang Mai.
Cancelled flights on 6 November 2014 will
be flights between Bangkok and Chiang Rai (PG235/PG236), flights
between Bangkok and Chiang Mai (PG227/228) and flights between
Mandalay (Myanmar) and Chiang Mai (PG726/PGPG725).
Cancelled
flights on 7 November 2014 will be PG235/PG236 servicing between
Bangkok and Chiang Rai, PG227/228 between Bangkok and
Chiang Mai, and flights between Yangon (Myanmar) and Chiang Mai
(PG724/PGPG723).
Other flights adjusted during 5-7 November
2014 period are PG906 (Bangkok-Chiang Mai) which will depart Bangkok
(Suvarnabhumi) at 16:30 and arrive in Chiang Mai at 17:45.
PG246 (Chiang Mai – Udon Thani) will depart Chiang Mai at 13:40
and arrive Udon Thani at 15:05, and PG245 (Udon Thani – Chiang
Mai) will depart Udon Thani at 15:25 and arrive Chiang Mai at
16:50.
