Park Hotel Group has expanded its portfolio of
hotels in Southeast Asia with two new management contracts.
The
company has been appointed to manage a beachfront resort in Khao Lak, Thailand, and a hilltop resort in Bali, Indonesia.
The
agreement signed with Southsea Group will see Park Hotel Group
open its first property in Thailand, Park Hotel Khao Lak Beach
Resort Phang Nga, in the first half of 2015.
Park Hotel Nusa Dua Bali is scheduled to
commence operation in the first quarter of 2015.
Allen Law, Park Hotel Group’s CEO said, “Park
Hotel Khao Lak Beach Resort Phang Nga and Park Hotel Nusa Dua Bali
are important milestones for both our brand and for the group. As
our group's first hotels in Thailand and Indonesia, both of which
are influential and growing markets that we feel is of strategic
importance. We're very excited to be entering Phang Nga and Bali;
the former being a rapidly developing tourist destination is a
stone’s throw from the Phuket International Airport, while Bali
remains one of Southeast Asia’s leading tourist destinations.”
Park Hotel Khao Lak Beach Resort Phang Nga is
located along Khao Lak’s coast, with direct access to Pakarang Beach on the Andaman Sea. Set amid 2.3
hectares of lush tropical gardens, it is around an hour’s drive from the
Phuket International Airport.
Accommodation
at Park Hotel Khao Lak Beach Resort Phang Nga will be available in the form of
125 Deluxe and Premier Rooms that range from 38sqm to 55sqm. All
rooms will have a private balcony and beachfront
sea views. Food and beverage offerings include two restaurants, a
café, a bar and a lobby lounge. Other facilities include a spa,
fitness centre and business centre.
“Khao Lak is a
destination of growing popularity and with a lot of potential.
We're very happy to have found the right partner. We remain
focused on expanding the Grand Park and Park Hotel brand in
Southeast Asia and other leading destinations globally”, Mr Law
added.
Park Hotel Nusa Dua Bali is located on hilltop in the
popular precinct of Nusa Dua and offers magnificent views of the
bay of Tanjung Benoa. Located 15 minutes from the Ngurah Rai
International Airport, it is within easy access to the beaches of
Nusa Dua, Tanjung Benoa, Uluwatu and the entertainment areas of
Kuta and Jimbaran.
With a current
portfolio of 10 properties across Singapore, China, Hong Kong and
Japan, the two hotels increase the number of hotels under
management to 12 and expand Park Hotel Group’s reach to two new
countries in Southeast Asia. These additions to the group’s
upscale hotel portfolio come ahead of the Singapore openings: Park
Hotel Alexandra in the second quarter of next year, and Park Hotel Farrer
Park in 2016.
