Gulf Air will increase flights between Bahrain
and Cairo from 10 to 12 flights per week, effective 23 July 2014.
The increase follows successful negotiations
between the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Authority and Arab
Republic of Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority to increase air
traffic rights between the two countries.
Flights to Cairo will increase from 10 to 12
weekly flights, adding an additional frequency on Wednesdays and
Sundays departing Bahrain at 17:15 local time.
Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Mr.
Ahmed Janahi said, “Gulf Air has held longstanding ties with the
Arab Republic of Egypt since we became one of the first Gulf
carriers to land in Cairo in 1972. We are always looking to
satisfy the high demand on this route and cater to passenger needs
and now, with the summer and Eid holidays fast approaching, our
passengers can benefit from the additional connection and schedule
flexibility to spend the holidays with their families and loved
ones.”
