Japan Airlines (JAL) and Bangkok Airways (PG)
have agreed to further expand codeshare flights on PG operated
routes between Bangkok and select cities in the Southeast Asia
region from 7 May 2014, subject to government approval.
JAL is currently serving the codeshare network
from Bangkok to five destinations, which are Thai domestic cities
(Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ko Samui), Mumbai and Male.
Now, JAL will
expand its codeshare network to eight new destinations in
Southeast Asia, the region of rapid economic growth with rich
tourism resources, including Myanmar (Yangon, Nai Pyi Taw,
Mandalay), Cambodia (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap), Lao PDR (Vientiane,
Luang Prabang), and Thailand (Chiang Rai).
All codeshare
flights have smooth connectivity to and from JL operated
Haneda=Bangkok services, of which JAL has doubled its daily
flights from 30 March 2014.
