Ms. Kanokros Sakdanares, who is corporate
director of marketing communications at Centara Hotels & Resorts,
has been elected president of the Hotel Public Relations
Association of Thailand.
The Hotel
Public Relations Association of Thailand is a non-profit
organisation founded in 1988 by Chadachat Jinayodhin, the first
president, with the objectives of creating a good relationship
amongst members and between members and the press, encouraging
careers in public relations, and supporting charities and public
welfare activities. Membership is open to all
public relations and marketing communications personnel at hotels
throughout Thailand.
“This is a great honour for
me, and I shall continue with the objectives set by the first
president,” said Kanokros. “Thailand’s hotel and
hospitality sector carries an enormous responsibility for
promoting the image of Thailand to visitors from around the world,
and professional public relations has a vitally important role to
play. The association promotes unity across the
entire hotel sector, and acts as a reference point for enquiries
from the international media.”
The president and her committee members will be
in place for a two-year term, ending in June 2016.
Khun Earth Saisawang held the position of president
before Khun Kanokros.
