The Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel has appointed Mr. Stephan Van Tilburg as Director
of Food and Beverage and Ms. Lily Chen as Director of Sales and
Marketing.
Located next to
the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center and across
from Macau, the 548-room Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel is scheduled to
open in November 2014.

experienced guidance will motivate our Sales and Marketing team to
capitalize on our offerings and deliver excellent results.”
Stephan Van Tilburg
A native of the Netherlands, Mr. Tilburg has
12 years of international experience in five-star hotels from
Europe to North America to Asia Pacific, most notably with
Starwood Hotels & Resorts and The Waldorf Astoria.
Prior to
joining the opening team for Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel, Mr. Tilburg
was Director of Food and Beverage for the Sheraton Huzhou
Hot Spring Resort on Taihu Lake in Eastern China and as the
Director of Food and Beverage for the Sheraton Shenyang Lido in
Liaoning, China. Mr. Tillburg also served as the Manager for Food
and Beverage for the prestigious St. Regis Singapore.
From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Tillburg served as
Director of Food & Beverage on the re-opening team of Hotel De
L’Europe, a five-star boutique hotel in Amsterdam. Within the
first year of re-opening, the hotel’s restaurants earned acclaimed
recognition, including a Michelin Star for Bord’Eau and Bib
Gourmand for the Hoofdstad Brasserie.
Mr Tilburg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from the Stenden Hotel Management School in
Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. He speaks more than four languages
including Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish. In his spare
time, he enjoys fitness and studying history and gastronomy.
Lily Chen
As a member of the opening team for Sheraton
Zhuhai Hotel, Ms. Chen is leading all of the sales and marketing
initiatives to promote the hotel regionally and internationally.
Ms. Chen has over 19 years of hospitality industry experience,
including more than 14 years in sales and mrketing for some of the
world’s most recognizable brands, including Marriott, IHG and
Starwood.
Over the past 14 years, Ms. Chen has risen from
Sales Executive to Director of Sales & Marketing, building an
impressive list of accomplishments along the way. Most recently,
Ms. Chen was the Director of Sales and Marketing for The Hongta
Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Shanghai where she
successfully rebranded the property from a St. Regis to a Luxury
Collection Hotel. She led a restructuring of the sales team and
improved performance tremendously across all sectors.
