Thanyapura Phuket Appoints Troy de Haas as Director of Sales

Thanyapura Phuket has appointed former pro athlete Troy de Haas as Director of Sales.

The Australian - who represented his country in mountain running as well as orienteering and other running events - has a good understanding of the Asian market having worked in Hong Kong, most recently as the Manager of Flight Centre, a global travel company he worked with for a total of seven years.

"Thanyapura is renowned for its three-tiered approach to improving the mind, body and soul," Thanyapura Chief Executive Officer, Philipp Graf von Hardenberg, said. "As such, Troy and Thanyapura are a great fit. His pedigree as a top athlete, his niche tourism background in sports and health/wellness and his excellent reputation in sales made his appointment an obvious one."

Thanyapura's 23-hectare site comprises of four centres: Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Club (TSLC), Thanyapura Mind Centre (TMC), Thanyapura Health (TH) and Phuket International Academy (PIA).

The site also features the 77-room Thanyapura Sports Hotel and the 38-room Thanyapura Retreat Hotel.
