In a further exciting development for Thai
tourism, AirAsia has confirmed plans to launch daily direct
flights between Chiang Mai in the north of the Kingdom, and Surat
Thani in the south and a popular gateway to island destinations
such as Koh Tao, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan.
The
daily direct flights will begin on 1 November 2014.
To celebrate, Thai
AirAsia is offering promotional fares from just 590 THB per trip,
and for those who wish to go to Samui the airline is offering the
flight as well as the car and ferry transfer service to Koh Samui
from just 990 THB.
The promotion is available on a first come first
served basis until 5 October 2014, for travel between 1
November 2014 and 24 October 2015. Terms and conditions apply.
“We are focusing on diversifying
our routes this year. Chiang Mai-Surat Thani is an exciting
addition as it allows for travelers from Chiang Mai to make their
way to the ocean and its delicious bounty. The island transfer via
car and ferry to Koh Samui should be another great allure for Thai
travelers as well as visitors from China and Europe who appreciate
convenient and cost effective travel,” said Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld,
CEO of Thai AirAsia.
