Hilton has signed a management agreement with
PT. Putragaya Wahana to introduce the Waldorf Astoria Hotel &
Resorts property in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Scheduled to open in 2018,
the 181-room Waldorf Astoria Jakarta will be the second property
of the brand’s portfolio in Indonesia.
Waldorf Astoria Jakarta
will be located along Jalan M.H. Thamrin road in the heart of the
central business district and is approximately 32 kilometers away
from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Well served by
major roadways, the hotel’s immediate vicinity is home to country
headquarters of multinational corporations, government offices and
embassies and is an ideal environment for corporate travelers to
conduct business. In addition, the hotel offers direct access to
the city's transportation network as well as convenient access
to restaurants and shopping by car. The hotel’s prime location
also offers excellent accessibility to the city’s finest dining
places, tourist landmarks, entertainment venues as well as popular
shopping malls including Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia and Thamrin City for leisure travelers.
Currently set to be the
tallest hotel in the city and built as a 74-story mixed-use
development, Waldorf Astoria Jakarta will join the icons of the
bustling city’s skyline with its striking architecture by Kohn
Pedersen Fox Associates.
The hotel will offer 181 guest rooms and
suites sized at 60 square meters, an all-day dining restaurant, specialty
restaurant, destination bar and the signature Peacock Alley lobby
lounge.
The hotel will also host exclusive meetings and events
within its 2,000 square-meter ballroom, several state-of-the-art
meeting rooms and a business center.
An outdoor pool,
health club and spa as well as a library lounge will also be part
of Waldorf Astoria Jakarta’s inspirational environment.
“We are excited to partner with Hilton
Worldwide in our vision to build an iconic landmark right in the
heart of Jakarta’s financial district,” said Alvin Gozali,
