Inbound and outbound air
traffic through Suvarnabhumi Airport in July 2014 was higher than
in June 2014, but 19.7% lower than in July last year.
In July 2014, Thai Airways adjusted flight
frequencies to better reflect actual travel demand by lowering
production capacity. Available Seat-Kilometers (ASKs) including
that of Thai Smile Airways was lower by 5.4% as compared to the
same month last year.
Revenue Passenger-Kilometers (RPKs) including
that of Thai Smile Airways was 11.8% lower than the same month
last year. RPKs on Asian routes was 15.1% lower, 12.1% lower on
domestic routes, and 9.2% lower than the same month last year on
international routes.
Cabin Factor including that of Thai Smile
Airways averaged 70.2% which was lower than last year’s average of
75.3%.
For the company’s cargo and commercial mail,
available dead ton-kilometers (ADTKs), including aircraft belly
and freighter, was 2.5% lower than the same month last year.
Revenue Freight Ton-Kilometer (RFTKs) was 5.3%
higher than the same month last year which resulted in a Freight
Load Factor averaging 51.2%, which was higher than last year’s
average of 47.4%.
