There is no shortage of affordable accommodation options in the
charming city of Ubon
Ratchathani in the north east of Thailand.
And while choosing between them can be a
daunting task, The Phadaeng
Mansion is without a doubt one of the very best you
can choose.
The 77-room hotel opened 6 years ago, and with rooms
starting from just 500 Baht nett per night, including Wi-Fi and
some tea/coffee with donuts for breakfast, has quickly become very
popular.
The rooms at The Phadaeng Mansion are clean and comfortable with a nice
fridge, quality air conditioning units, reliable and fast WiFi,
plenty of storage space, good quality water power in the
bathrooms, and small Thai-style balconies with an extra sink if
you wish to cook or wash clothes etc..
But it is not the quality of the rooms, nor the
fact that each of them are different as you will see in the video
below, but it is the location of The Phadaeng Mansion that helps
make this such a great place to stay.
The hotel is just 400 metres
from the extremely popular Thung Si Muang park which locals use to jog around, play
basketball, do aerobics, play football and workout in a free open
air gym. The weekend street market is also located next to the
park, and the hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the River Mun
which, with its nice restaurants and bars, is a great place to
watch the sunset. The traditional
morning food market - Talart Yai - is also located next to the
river, and you can
go there early morning to enjoy delicacies such as Pak Mor
(pictured), among
other treats, for breakfast.
The Phadaeng Mansion is truly an excellent choice if you are looking for
somewhere to stay in the wonderful and charming city of Ubon
Ratchathani in Thailand.
