Qatar Airways has added three additional flights per week to Salalah, the second largest city in Oman.

From 3 February 2015 the Doha-based airline will add one more additional flight per week.

A total of eight flights per week will make it even easier for passengers to visit this vibrant tourist destination in the Sultanate of Oman.

Qatar Airways commenced services to Salalah in May 2013, its second destination in Oman after the capital city, Muscat. With Muscat already served 28 times-a-week and Salalah four-times-a-week, the additional flights to Salalah take Qatar Airways’ capacity across Oman to a total of 36 weekly services.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said, “We are extremely delighted to announce the increase in flights to the popular leisure destination of Salalah that has a tremendous appeal for visitors across the Gulf, Europe, the United States and other countries. Thousands of tourists already visit Salalah every year, and we look forward to contributing to help further boost leisure and business tourism while providing travellers from Oman with greater choice and more flying options.”

Salalah is a destination that offers distinctive natural attractions where its coast blends with beautiful mountains. The city is frequented by visitors from around the world who are charmed by its beautiful beaches and coastline offering major attractions for scuba diving and bird watching.

With the additional flights, Salalah will now have four early morning departures connecting via Doha to Europe and the Americas and four early evening departures connecting to flights in the Asia Pacific region. A mix of morning and evening flights means convenient connections for passengers from Salalah to key markets in the Qatar Airways’ route network of 146 destinations.

The Salalah - Doha route is operated with an Airbus A320, featuring a two-class configuration of 12 seats in Business Class and up to 132 seats in Economy. Selected A320s feature seatback TV screens providing all passengers in both cabins with the next generation interactive onboard entertainment system – a choice of more than 900 audio and video on demand options.
