Rex Loh has been appointed Director of Sales and
Marketing of InterContinental Singapore.
Rex joins from The
Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, bringing with him over 15 years
of valuable experience helming sales, marketing and revenue
functions in the hospitality industry. Prior to
that, Rex spent two years with The Ritz-Carlton Sanya in a similar
capacity.
Rex began his hospitality career at
Shangri-La Singapore in 1999, where he rose through the ranks to
become Assistant Director of Business Development (MICE), before
joining The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore as associate director
of sales in 2003.
In his current role, Rex will be
responsible for leading InterContinental Singapores sales and
marketing team to drive performance and deliver
results. Besides establishing new business opportunities, he will
also play a crucial role in driving strategic campaigns to
reposition the hotel through a multi-million dollar refurbishment
programme of its rooms, restaurants and public areas in 2014.
A Singapore national, Rex graduated from Hawaii
Pacific University with a major in travel industry management. He
is also a certified meeting professional since 2004, as conferred
by the internationally recognized United States based Convention Industry Council.
