Stephane Puverel has been appointed as Executive
Chef at Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei.
With an established culinary background that
includes international positions at prominent hotel restaurants in
some of the most renowned cities, such as Tokyo and Shanghai,
Stephane brings artistic plating, sustainable philosophy and
extensive global management skills to his new role.
He will oversee the kitchens of five dining
outlets and three lounges as well as the hotel’s banquets and room
services.
Originating from the city of Nice, Stephane nurtured his passion
for cooking at an early age in his Italian grandmother’s kitchen. After his
professional training in competitive leading kitchens in major
European destinations, such as Monaco, Geneva and London, he has
developed a minimalist cooking style, focusing on food aesthetics
with dishes that use fresh local ingredients and seasonings.
“I am very thrilled about
my new role at Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei, where
I will put my previous experience and knowledge about the Asian
markets and international cuisine to add to the advantage of the
hotel. With the excellent culinary team here in Taipei, I have
great confidence that we will be the leading force in the
restaurants’ trend and continue to bring the unparalleled fine
dining experiences to our guests in Taipei,” said Stephane.
