The St. Regis Chengdu Appoints Richard Deutl as GM

The St. Regis Chengdu has appointed Richard Deutl as General Manager.

With nearly three decades of hospitality experience, Deutl leads The St. Regis Chengdu pre-opening team in preparation for the grand opening in July 2014.

Prior to The St. Regis Chengdu, Mr. Deutl served as General Manager of The Westin Nanjing where he was the lead for the successful opening. Under his leadership, the hotel entered the market by storm through aggressive sales & marketing strategies and delivering high-quality products and services that led to the hotel’s current market leadership position.

Mr. Deutl has gained more than 7 years of China experience and served as General Manager of the Sheraton Hotel in Tianjin and Wuxi. Prior to his transfer to China, he was General Manger of the Sheraton Metechi Palace in Georgia. Mr. Deutl has gained significant knowledge in hospitality through the different roles he has undertaken within the Rooms Division. He first joined Starwood at Sheraton Innsbruck, Austria in 1988.
